The “Young People’s group”

The teenagers in this group dance the dances of North Germany as well as other international dances.

They perform their dances in the traditional work dress of the Scheessel region. The material for the girls’ headwear and aprons is hand-dyed in the indigo textile workshop belonging to the the Heimatverein (Homeland society) in Scheessel.

Through their many performances, both within and beyond the borders of Germany, members of the group have established many personal contacts and have experienced many different cultures. From these beginnings, many long-term friendships have developed which still exist.
This group is led by Jörn Klee and Lea Behling.
